Rising Above is a faith-based non-profit organization in Grande Prairie, Alberta, offering a 6-Month Residential Treatment program. Rising Above addresses a wide range of issues. Substance Abuse is the most common, but we also address anger issues, patterns of homelessness and criminal behavior, deep rooted shame, anxiety, and any other form of bondage a person may be struggling in. Rising Above believes that the root of these issues lie in unresolved pain and trauma, therefore our program puts a heavy emphasis on addressing things from the past to allow for freedom in the present. When you join Rising Above, you join a community of people who are here to support and encourage you in your recovery journey. Who we are helping?

Mothers who ache for their children and grandchildren.

Fathers that live with the knowledge they aren’t supporting their families.

Brothers and sisters who have to stay away from each other, or watch helplessly as the spiral of addiction, homelessness and poverty tear them apart.

How do you turn your son or daughter away at a time when it looks like they need you so much? How do you love them when their behaviours are so unlovable? How do you help them when you don’t understand?

We can help. You’re not alone.
